A park for everyone
Furuviksparken wants to be a park for everyone. Here you will find information to help make your visit easier if you have a disability.
Good to know for visitors with disabilities
Furuvik Park is a cozy destination where you can experience animals, amusement rides, and swimming. The park has minor elevation changes and mainly paved paths, with some gravel roads. The park environment varies between forested areas and open spaces.
BEFORE YOUR VISIT
Companion or personal assistant
Guests with disabilities pay the regular admission fee. A personal assistant or companion in service receives free admission together with the guest. The companion must be at least 16 years old and able to present valid ID. The need for a companion must be verified with a certificate.
Guests with disabilities must bring a certificate to show at the entrance. The certificate must include your name and a brief description of your need for assistance. We accept certificates from healthcare providers, municipalities, schools, and personal assistance companies. Companions do not need to pre-book tickets. Other members of the party should book their tickets via our website. Remember to present the certificate at the entrance upon arrival.
If a guest with disabilities needs help entering or exiting a ride, the assistant/companion is welcome to ride for free.
Parking and public transportation
- Six accessible parking spaces are located near the main entrance, and two spaces are near the entrance of Furuvik Havshotell.
- A valid disabled parking permit must be displayed in the car windshield.
Public transport stops to and from the park are located approximately 50 meters from the main entrance. Bus line 501 serves the stop named "Furuvik." The train station is also right next to the park’s main entrance. Transportation services can drop off and pick up guests directly outside the entrance turnaround.
Wheelchairs
Furuvik offers a limited number of wheelchairs available for guests to borrow. These must be reserved in advance via Guest Services at 010-708 79 00 or gastservice@furuvik.se.
Accommodation
We recommend Havshotellet or our seaside campground, both located a short distance from the park. Park entry is possible via the hotel entrance or the park’s main entrance. We offer two accessible rooms at Havshotellet and one accessible cabin at the campground. For more details, please call us at 010-708 70 00.
DURING YOUR VISIT
Accessibility in the park
- Surfaces vary: asphalt, gravel, and grass.
- Most areas of the park are accessible by wheelchair and stroller.
- Some paths and attractions may have limited accessibility.
Accessibility wristband
At the main entrance or Guest Services, you can receive an accessibility wristband by presenting a certificate and valid ID. This wristband allows queue priority by entering through the attraction’s exit unless otherwise marked (Flodfärden & Tornado have signage).
Attractions
Guests with disabilities pay the regular admission fee. Those with an accessibility wristband may enter through the exit with up to 3 guests. If more guests wish to ride together, they may wait in the regular queue and join when it’s their turn.
Guests with limited mobility who have difficulty entering or exiting a ride may remain in the ride for an additional turn (up to three rides in a row). The assistant or companion should assist with boarding and exiting but does not need to ride if not required.
Pelle’s play adventure
-
Pelle and Maja’s Climbing Tree: A classic climbing frame surrounded by play sand. The climbing structure and swings are not adapted for visitors with limited mobility. In front of the area, there is a rubber surface with a spinning carousel and spinners that are accessible for visitors with mobility impairments.
