Saxon

We welcome Saxon to Furuvik Live on july 27 at 8 p.m.

Saxon - the British heavy metal band with an almost 50-year career that few can match. The band is considered one of the most influential groups within the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) and has had a major impact on the genre along with bands such as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest.

Saxon broke through in the early 1980s with albums such as Wheels of Steel (1980), Strong Arm of the Law (1980) and Denim and Leather (1981), which contained classic songs such as 747 (Strangers in the Night), Motorcycle Man and Princess of the Night. Their music is characterized by powerful riffs underpinned by epic melodies.

The band has defied all musical trends, new structures in the music world and band member defections and consistently continued to release albums and tour the world in true rock solid hard rock spirit.

Their clear loyalty to the genre and not least to their audience has paid off. Saxon has maintained an extremely loyal fan base that is constantly being added to by new generations who stick with their band - Saxon.

Saxon are pioneers and have proudly stood at the forefront of British hard rock, they have also inspired bands such as Pantera, Metallica and Megadeth.

Saxon are still highly relevant today and released their latest album Hell, Fire and Damnation in 2024. The band is known for their energetic live show and has an obvious place in heavy metal as one of the most respected and long-lived groups in the genre.

Buckle up, on July 27 it will be Saxon - a piece of hard rock history in Furuviksparken!
