Nestor

We welcome Nestor to Furuvik Live on agust 1st at 8 p.m.

The Swedish rock band NESTOR was formed in 1989 and made its debut at Falköping's library. They quickly gained local success with their melodious hard rock, in the same spirit as the big names of the time such as; Journey, Mötley Crüe and Bon Jovi.

Despite the promising start, the band disbanded already a few years into the 1990s, and the members went their separate ways. Life took them in completely different directions – one became a tattoo artist, another a principal, a third a photographer and a fourth stayed in the music business as one of our most established songwriters.

There, one of Sweden's many local rock hops could have fallen into oblivion... but the band members always kept in close contact. So close that three decades after the breakup, they decided to wake the band from their rock hibernation and almost 30 years later, release their debut album Kids In A Ghost Town. NESTOR was back.

The album was praised by both critics and fans and was nominated for a Grammy in the category Hard Rock/Metal of the Year - a great comeback! And the Comeback continues, last year the album Teenage Rebel was released which received a really warm reception and NESTOR are once again nominated for this year's hard rock/metal Grammys. This summer they did several big gigs, above all at Sweden Rock and at a completely sold out Circus in Stockholm.

NESTOR turns back the clock while being one of the hottest acts in modern rock music with millions of streams on Spotify. They have shared the stage with some of rock's biggest pioneers such as Alice Cooper, Def Leppard and Europe. On August 1, it's time to share an unforgettable rock and roll evening with Furuvik's audience, welcome!
