The final act for this year’s line-up is confirmed: Finnish monster rockers LORDI will perform at Furuvik Live on June 26.

Exactly 20 years ago, LORDI made history by winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with “Hard Rock Hallelujah.” Their victory broke point records, brought heavy metal into the mainstream, and made them the first – and still only – Finnish band to win the competition. When they returned to Helsinki, they were greeted by 90,000 fans in a celebration that earned a place in the Guinness World Records.

The band was founded in Lapland by Mr. Lordi, who is behind both the music and the iconic monster costumes. Since then, they have built an entire universe of their own – becoming one of Finland’s most unique musical exports.

Behind the horror aesthetic lies a strong commitment to issues such as animal rights and the environment. They are also currently making headlines in Sweden through a high-profile collaboration with Pantamera, where they reinterpret the classic campaign in a heavy metal style.

With their explosive stage show, timeless hits, and uncompromising style, LORDI continues to be one of the most distinctive and spectacular live acts in the rock world.

On June 26, LORDI will take the stage at Furuvik Live – as the final act to be announced for this year’s concert summer.
